MHS Chorus and Orchestra Concert
The Music Department of Millburn High School proudly presents its annual Spring Chorus and Orchestra Concert on Thursday, June 2 at 7:30 P.M. in the high school auditorium. This concert is free and open to the public. Ensembles are under the direction of Ms. Flora Yousefi, Director of Orchestra, and Mr. Rodrigo Vega, Director of Choirs.
Chamber Strings will perform a movement from Telemann’s Suite in B-flat Major “Les Nations.” The Symphony Orchestra will perform Saint-Saëns’Allegro Moderato, Bizet’s L’Arlésienne Suite No. 1, and Massenet’s Angelus and Bohemian Festival.
Chorale will perform an arrangement of Chega de Saudade by Jobim and Moraes, as well as a rendition of When the Chips are Down by Mitchel and Robinson.
The Miller Chorus and Cantica Nova will perform pieces by Billy Joel, Stuart Chapman Hill, and Rollo Dilworth. They will also perform Jabberwocky by Sam Pottle and an arrangement of Mr. Blue Sky by Jeff Lynne. The concert will conclude with a combined Chorus and Orchestra performance of Rogers and Hammerstein’s You’ll Never Walk Alone.
