Chair Yoga
Wednesday, June 15th at 11 a.m.

This program cultivates awareness and deep relaxation through meditation, breath work, and gentle stretches all without the stress of getting up and down off the floor. This program will be presented by certified yoga instructor, Pamela Nixon, and is recommended for adults. This program has been funded by The Friends of The Kenilworth Public Library.

Hudson Shakespeare Company
Thursday, June 16th at 7 p.m.
The Hudson Shakespeare Company returns to the Kenilworth Public Library for its 30th season of traveling Shakespeare productions with Hamlet, Prince of Denmark. Set in medieval Denmark, the show stars Zach Hendrickson as the prince directed by the ghost of his father to avenge his murder by his uncle Claudius (Jon Ciccarelli), but at what cost? Who can Hamlet trust and what should he do? Life-long friends now becomes enemies. A budding romance with Ophelia (Emily Glaser), the daughter of the king’s right-hand man Polonius (John C. Short) has ended. A once close relationship with his mother Gertrude (Noelle Fair) now becomes strained as she marries his father’s murderer. Shakespeare’s classic tale of revenge is shaped into a light-hearted and tragically thoughtful meditation on duty to family and duty to yourself. This program is made possible by funds from the Union County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.

Rewind, featuring Jersey guys John Delgiodice of Hasbrouck Heights on guitar, Ken Cohen of Kenilworth on drums, and Rich Loughlin of Oceanport on bass, has been entertaining New Jersey audiences at libraries, restaurants, outdoor events, and private parties for over five years with their mix of classic rock from the 50’s though the 80’s.
