Memorial Bell Presented to Garwood Fire Department in Memory of Fire Fighter William Severage III

Mrs Maryann Severage and family presented a memorial bell to the Garwood Fire Department in memory of her late husband William Severage III on April 22, 2018.
William “Bill” served the Borough of Garwood Fire Department for 55 years as a fire fighter and as chief of the department for two terms. Bill was also past President of the Garwood Fire Department Exempt Association, a member and past President of the Union County Fire Chief’s Association, and a member of the Union County Firemen’s Association.
Fire Chief Alan Tweedle accepted the bell on behalf of the Fire Department and thanked the family for the memorial bell.
The bell will be used for the Fire Departments memorial services and displayed at the firehouse.
