The Madison School Garden Club is in full bloom! Students and teachers meet once a week after school to work on their very own school garden.
Students are led in student-centered activities that enable them to understand how to care for the plant beds, learn how a seed becomes a fruit or vegetable, grow herbs, plant flowers, and even compost.
There are nine teachers and seventy-five students from grades Kindergarten through sixth grade that are a part of the garden club. The students are given the opportunity to dig, plant, compost, and claim the garden as their own.
