Madison Borough holds 46th annual Bottle Hill Day Festival

46th Anniversary of Bottle Hill Day

The Madison Downtown Development Commission held the annual Bottle Hill Day festival on Saturday, October 2, 2021. This year marked the 46th Anniversary of this signature Madison event which is centered in Madison’s business district. The beautiful day brought out a record crowd to this free event which has continued to grow every year since it was first established in 1974 by Mayor Elizabeth Baumgartner.

The street festival spanned six blocks and included sidewalk sales, live music, amusement areas, food, and over 200 vendors including non-profits, crafters, retail businesses, and more.

Bottle Hill Day was created over forty years ago to promote the business district. The name originated from Madison’s original establishment in 1715 of the village called “Bottle Hill”.

Also, as in years past, the Madison Chamber of Commerce and Madison P.B.A. #92 hosted their annual Madison Car Show at the Madison Volunteer Ambulance Corps headquarters. One of the most prestigious automotive events in New Jersey, the Madison Car Show featured many vehicles in several classes, including hot rods, trucks, customs, antiques, classics and street machines.
