November Classes
Linden Recreation announces two virtual youth classes and two senior citizens classes starting in November.
Elementary Drawing: Participants ages 6-12 are introduced to the fascinating world of characters, pattern, and color. The class will be held Wednesday, November 9 through December 14, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. The fee for this six-week class is $95. Price includes supplies.
It’s More Than Please & Thank You: Participants ages 7-13 learn manners and etiquette skills. Explore in-person behavior, out in public conduct, phone calls, texting, emailing and table manners. The class will be held Saturdays, November 14 and November 21, from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. The fee is $45. Purchasing of supplies may be required.
Two senior citizens classes in November will be shown on TV 36/42. Pre-registration is required by calling 908-474-8627 or online at linden-nj.org and click on Community Pass. First time registrants are required to call during business hours to have an account set up.
US War Presidents: Participants explore how this happens by examining the actions of Presidents from our first war, The War of 1812 to our present and longest conflict in Afghanistan. The class will be held Mondays, November 2 and November 9, from 1:00-2:30 p.m. on Linden TV36/42. The class is free.
The Creation of the US Supreme Court and Its Most Impactful Decisions: Participants learn about the Founding Fathers reason to create the Supreme Court as the third branch of the Federal Government and their decisions that had the most impact on the life of our Country. The class will be held Mondays, November 16 and November 23, from 1:00-2:30 p.m. on Linden TV36/42. The class is free.
