Students across the district participated in the Week of Respect from October 5-9.

According to the School Counselor at MKM and MP, Miss Heather Goldstein, “This year, our focus will be on diversity and uniqueness! We will be recognizing diversity throughout the month of October. The elementary schools will celebrate ‘the beauty of the world lies in the diversity of its people’, and at MKM we will celebrate our October precept ‘It’s because we are different that each of us is special.'”

Over at Mountain Park, the fourth grade hallway bulletin board had been decorated with the words ‘Let’s Spread RESPECT like Confetti’ as a reminder for the entire building.

Elementary students across all three schools discussed four new vocabulary words throughout the month of October. These words were diversity, uniqueness, inclusion, and empathy.
