The Linden Public Schools family and community came together to collect and distribute over 1,000 gifts to students and families in need this holiday season.

The gift drive was spearheaded by the district’s student services department, which collected gifts from schools through giving trees, as well as from local churches. The gifts were given to families in the district who were identified by school-based social workers.

“It takes an entire community to orchestrate a holiday toy drive as large as ours,” said Annabell Louis, supervisor of student services. “Thank you to our staff, parents and local community members who made this possible. There can be no greater joy than knowing you made a difference in the life of a child. We are sincerely grateful to everyone for their generous acts of kindness and wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season.”
