Linden Public Library to hold First Blood Drive of 2020

Blood Drive – February 13

The Linden Public Library is proud to sponsor its first blood drive of 2020. It will be held in the Columbia Bank Room on the third floor of the library on Thursday, February 13 from 12:30 until 6:30 p.m. The blood drive will be conducted by members of the New York Blood Center, which conducts basic health screenings on every donor prior to collection.

Donors may give blood if they are at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 lbs. and are in good health. Donors over age 76 may continue to donate blood if they meet all eligibility criteria and present a physician’s letter allowing them to donate, once at the first donation after reaching their 76th birthday. America’s blood supply relies exclusively on volunteer blood donors. There is no substitute for human blood. If you have any questions about donating blood or eligibility, please check the NYBC web site:nybloodcenter.org/donate-blood/become-donor/can-i-donate-blood.

Located at 31 East Henry Street, the Linden Public Library has been serving the cultural, educational, reading and artistic interests for the city of Linden since it was founded in 1928.
