Linden Public Library Announces Feature Film Nights

LINDEN PUBLIC LIBRARY FILMS

The Linden Public Library is proud to continue one of its most popular programs as it presents more feature films in September and October. For this series, we celebrate Oscar winning film maker, Tom Hanks, who turned 65 in July. Films will be shown free of charge on Tuesdays and Fridays at 1:00 p.m.

The ten-film series begins on Tuesday, September 7th, with the 1988 comedy, Big, which earned Hanks his first Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. Both his Oscar winning films, Philadelphia and Forest Gump, will be shown. The series concludes on October 8th with one of his biggest hits,Sleepless in Seattle, the 1993 romantic comedy co-starring Meg Ryan. Films are shown in the Columbia Bank Room, thanks to funding from the Friends of Linden Public Library.

Located at 31 East Henry Street, the Linden Public Library has been at the center of the city’s social, cultural, artistic and educational life since it was founded in 1928. If you have any questions about the film series, please call the library at 908-298-3830. Follow us on Facebook or Twitter and check out our web site at www.lindenpl.org.
