Linden Public Library 90th Anniversary Celebration

The Linden Public Library recently celebrated their 90th anniversary. The party was held in the library’s Columbia Bank Room after the Friends of the Linden Library annual business meeting. Refreshments were served. There were also door prizes. Marilyn Coplan, President of Board of Trustees said, “The library is one of the most important things in my life.”
Library Director Dennis Purves called the Linden Library “a model for other libraries in Union County.”
Librarian Dawn Beviano was elected to assume duties of President of the Friends group.
Library patron Stephanie Feuerschwenger was celebrating with her 3-year-old daughter Massie. “We’re always here,” said Stephanie.
Also in attendance were: City of Linden Mayor Derek Armstead; and Union County Freeholders, Al Mirabella and Chris Hudak.
