On the afternoon of Friday, July 29, over a dozen members of Lifelong Westfield and their weekly “Friday Chat” group met in the outdoor garden at Lion’s Roar Brewery. This was the group’s second in-person Friday meeting since March of 2020 when these “feel good” sessions started.

Almost every week over the past two years, between ten and fifteen Westfield seniors have met to chat for an hour on Zoom, becoming close friends. Almost half of the regulars on the chat are members of Lifelong Westfield, whose mission is to make Westfield a great place to grow older.

In 2021, Lifelong Westfield held over 15 events, both on Zoom and in person, including a Senior Services fair with over thirty exhibitors, two scam seminars with the Westfield Police Department, Health and Safety webinars with the county health department, a walk with Mayor Brindle and Police Chief Battiloro, and many others. We serve as a network for information, activities, and services that support seniors and their caregivers.

This year’s Lifelong Westfield Senior Services Fair will be held in the gym of St. Helen’s Church on Friday, September 30, from 10 a.m. – noon.
