Library to Celebrate 50 Years on November 18th

In 196 1, Cl ark Public Libra ry opened in a rented storefront. The little library grew and by 1966 the residents, trustees and administration of Clark Township committe d to buildin g a permanent home for the library. On Friday, N ovember 18th from 5:30- 7pm, join us a s we celebrate 50 years of inspiration, information and enrichment at the Clark Public Library. We will be honoring the Mayor, Council, Library Board of Trustee s, F rie nds of the Library, staff and patrons who built the library in 1966 an d those who support the library as it continues to evolve and support the community.
Tickets are $6 for this “after hours” 21 & over celebration featuring wine and cheese, music of the 60’s, ra ff les an d d isplays o f the e vents and daily life of this colorful era. If yo u r emember using a rotary phone, paying $.32 for a gallon of gas or $.05 for a stamp, turn back the clock and join us to reme mbe r. The displ ays w ill also b e ope n for viewing on Saturda y, N ovember 19th during the Friends of the Clark Public Library annual Holiday Shopping event from 11-3pm.
