Mahjong Club

Are you a Mahjong player and looking for a group? Our Mahjong Club meets on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. No instruction is provided so you must know how to play.

Holiday Hosting: Wreath and Ornament Making Workshop

Sunday, December 4 – 3 to 5 p.m.

‘Tis the Season…to make your own holiday decor! Drop in between 3 and 5 pm to make brass ring minimalist wreaths and ornaments with greenery. These easy and unique crafts will add extra flare to your home this holiday season. Supplies will be provided. $10 to participate.

Holiday Hosting: DIY Wrapping Paper

Tuesday, December 6 – 3 to 6 p.m.

Learn how to personalize your wrapping paper, using materials around your house! Make your gifts stand out this holiday season with different types of stamps and materials. Friends and family will be impressed with the personalized touch! Drop in any time between 3 and 6 pm. Supplies will be provided. $10 to participate.

Holiday Hosting: Cocktail and Mocktail Making!

Thursday, December 8 – 6 p.m.

In continuing the Holiday Hosting series, what’s a party without cocktails?? Learn how to make a couple of fun, inventive cocktails for the holiday season. Mocktail versions will be available.

Supplies will be provided. $20 to participate. Advance registration is required.

Art Exhibits: Learn Before You Go!
The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York City

Wednesday, December 7 – 7 p.m.

Know what to expect before visiting in person. In addition to the impressive permanent collection, there will be two special exhibitions this winter. “Alex Katz: Gathering” focuses on figurative work of this contemporary American artist. “Nick Cave: Forothermore” offers an overview of a dynamic American artist who marries fashion, art, video, and performance with a focus on marginalized people. Presented by Anne Swartz, Professor of Art History at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Art Exhibits: Learn Before You Go!
Storm King Art Center, New Windsor, NY

Wednesday, December 14 – 7 p.m.

Storm King provides the visitor with a unique opportunity to view large-scale contemporary sculpture throughout its 500 acres of beautiful landscape. In addition to looking closely at two special installations by American artists Louise Bourgeois and Sarah Sze, this lecture will highlight ways to get the most out of your visit and maximize your enjoyment of a special day trip. Presented by Anne Swartz, Professor of Art History at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
