Governor Livingston Bright Spots

Governor Livingston High School Football Player, Sophomore Kicker #28 Liam Quigley, has been selected to attend the 2020 Kicking World National showcase in Austin, Texas, taking place this weekend.

Liam has been invited to the exclusive 2020 Kicking World National Showcase taking place on December 5-6. He earned the invitation earlier in the season by having the top performance at a football camp run by Kicking World where he competed against over 1,200 HS football kickers during their 2020 camp tour which traveled to over 22 major cities and 30 states.

“I’ve worked really hard the last couple years at various kicking camps and on my own so I was really excited to earn the varsity kicker spot this year for GL,” said Liam. “I want to thank my coaches for always having faith in me and the seniors for their leadership and encouragement this year.”

Liam added, “I’m really excited to be competing this weekend where I can showcase my kicking ability.  I’ll be working with some of the best coaches and kickers in the country and I can’t wait to use this experience to train hard in the off-season and help GL win another conference championship!”

Only 110 of the 1,200+ students who competed were invited to the showcase.

According to GLHS Varsity Football Head Coach, Mr. Dan Guyton, “Liam was our starting varsity kicker this year as a sophomore.  He did great for his first varsity season and we are looking forward to a very bright future for Liam not just as a kicker but as a position player on offense and defense in the future.  We wish Liam all the best as he heads to Texas to compete this weekend!”

The event will be streamed live from Austin, TX on Sunday, December 6 from 10:30am-4:00pm CST via YouTube at kickingworld.com/live

Good luck Liam! We will all be cheering you on!
