Learn How to Use ReferenceUSA

T.J. Pridell of ReferenceUSA will present a seminar on ReferenceUSA on Wednesday, October 11, at 6:30 p.m. in the Cranford Community Center. Admission to the program is free and all are welcome. Registration is not required.
ReferenceUSA is an online provider of business and consumer research available from the Cranford Public Library’s Web page and also from many other public libraries in New Jersey. ReferenceUSA can be used to create marketing plans, conduct competitive analysis, raise funds, and locate people in order to expand and grow their businesses. ReferenceUSA provides real-time access to more than 44 million businesses and 270 million consumers.
Cranford Public Library card holders can access ReferenceUSA from within the Library or from home or work. The database features ten detailed modules of information: U.S. Businesses, Canadian Businesses, U.S. New Businesses, U.S. Standard White Pages, Canadian White Pages, U.S. Historical Businesses, U.S. Jobs/Internships, U.S. Healthcare, U.S. Consumers/Lifestyle, and U.S. New Movers/Homeowners. Users can select a location and radius to search through a database of millions of businesses and locate direct business contact names. Many entries also include links to job postings. Students can use ReferenceUSA to find articles for research on businesses and find data summaries to profile neighborhoods, cities, and states, as well as researching demographics by business type, sizes, and median income.
