Kumpf Students Virtual Road Trip
Students in Ms. Jennifer Barbera’s class at Kumpf Middle School in Clark recently went on a virtual road trip across the country where they learned about all 50 states. During their travels, they learned about different geographic landforms found in each state as well as the weather, population, and famous landmarks among many other important facts.
The students also took virtual tours of some of the state capital buildings. Upon culmination of the trip, students were asked to create a travel brochure about their favorite state, which highlighted what they had learned and featured an illustration. According to Ms. Barbera, “The students were able to virtually see parts of the country they had never seen before. They enjoyed learning both important and fun facts about each state, as well as looking at and discussing the pictures on Google Earth.”
