Kumpf Students Virtual Grocery Shopping Trip
Students in Ms. Jennifer Barbera’s class at Carl H. Kumpf Middle School in Clark recently went grocery shopping on a virtual field trip. Students learned about different grocery stores in the area and what they needed to go food shopping, including the importance of having a list and a budget. They then visited ShopRite.com and shopped for ingredients to make a special meal of their choosing. While shopping, students had to keep track of how much they spent. Ms. Barbera stated, “Students really enjoyed virtual food shopping. Through this experience, students learned about how math relates to everyday life.”
