Kumpf Middle School Choir and Band Compete at Great Adventure
The Kumpf Middle School Choir and Band participated in a competition on May 30, 2019 in Jackson, NJ. After the competition they had time to go to Great Adventure for lunch, rides and games.
6th Grade Band: 80.0 – 1st place
7/8 Band: 86.25 – 1st place
Jazz Band: 90.5 – 1st place and best overall jazz band
Choir: 92.5 – 1st place
Chorale: 87.0 – 2nd place
The 6th grade band and chorale scores were similar to last year, 7th and 8th grade band went up two points, choir went up 4 points, and jazz band went up a huge 10 points from last year. Also a big congratulations to the jazz band and choir for securing Kumpf’s first ever “superior” ratings.
The children really played their hearts out and it showed.
