KoC Honor Father Michael J. McGivney

Submitted by John Doolan

After Pope Francis approved the beatification of our Founder, the Cranford Knights honored Father McGivney with a banner in front of St. Michael’s Church. Father McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus in 1882 and the Order has grown to over 2 million members worldwide. With his beatification, Father McGivney is considered “Blessed” which is the step prior to sainthood.

The Cranford Knights of Columbus is a Catholic Fraternal Organization dedicated to our Four Core Principles, Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. The Cranford Council supports many charities and civic causes locally, state-wide, and nationally and is committed to be a viable part of our Community. For information about joining the Council, please contact our Membership Chair Joe Kilroy at 908-578-4315 or visit the Council web site at cranfordknights.org.
