Kiwanis Club Supports Local Organizations

The Kiwanis Club of the Chathams and Madison continues to support local organizations during this pandemic. With the cancelling of the Kiwanis Club’s annual April Benevolence Awards Presentation event, award recipients are being contacted advising them that donation checks are being sent to them.

For some of the service organizations, the amount of the donation has been increased from previous years to help with their organization’s pandemic efforts. These are Interfaith Food Pantry, SAGE Meals on Wheels, Chatham Emergency Squad, and the Visiting Nurse Association of Northern New Jersey.

In addition, checks supporting the Green Village Fire Department, Senior Services Center, Area Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, Chatham Community Band and the Madison Area YMCA will soon be distributed.

The Annual High School Scholarships and Awards will be presented by the Kiwanis Club of the Chathams and Madison to the selected recipients later this spring.

The Kiwanis Club of the Chathams and Madison will continue to support our local organizations and also wish that everyone be safe. Information about the Kiwanis Club of the Chathams and Madison can be obtained by contacting Karen Shippey, Club President, at kkshippey@msn.com.
