Kenilworth’s Gallery-on-the-Boulevard Show

Kenilworth’s Gallery-on-the-Boulevard Show Opens July 1st

The Gallery-on-the-Boulevard will present an exhibit of line drawings by Kara Cortes of Kenilworth titled “Fantasy World”. It will open on July 1 and close September 30, 2019.

Mostly self taught, Kara has attended art and advanced art classes at both Roselle Park High School and Union County College. This is the first exhibit of her whimsical free hand drawings. Some of the pieces are black and white, while others have pastel colors incorporated.

Kara has a  demanding schedule teaching dance at Beyond Dance in Cranford, which leaves her very little free time. She finds that executing these intricate drawings helps her to relax. Her grandparents and her mother all have artistic abilities that she has inherited.

All artwork is available for purchase by contacting the artist. The Gallery is located in the Kenilworth Library 548 Boulevard. The exhibit is free and open  to the public during regular library hours. For further information call 908-276-2451 or visit kenilworthlibrary.org. Anyone interested in exhibiting art work at the Gallery contact Barbara Wirkus, Curator at: dmbbw33@gmail.com
