Read To A Dog at The Kenilworth Public Library

Tuesday, November 14 at 4:00pm – 5:00pm

Ages: For early beginning readers and those who are learning to read

Young, reluctant, or struggling readers are encouraged to register for this program and read aloud for 15 minutes with certified therapy dogs Bubble or Magnolia. Children will learn to associate reading with being with these furry, non-judgmental listeners and begin to view reading in a positive way. Over time, the child’s reading ability and confidence can improve because they are practicing their skills. Registration is required. Readers may register for a 15-minute visit.

Tween Craft: 3:30pm – 4:30pm on Monday, November 20.

Craft to take home and display.  Ages: 10 – 14

Good Tyme String Band:  10:30am – 11:00am on Wednesday, November 29.

All ages are welcome to attend and enjoy foot tapping knee slapping banjo music

Learn To Paint & Collage Workshop at The Kenilworth Public Library

Thursday, November 30 at 4:00pm – 5:00pm

Ages: 5 – 12

Create and paint your own piece of pottery to take home and display

This program will be presented by Simone Anthony-Brown, owner of Express Yourself Studios.

This program has been funded by The Les Malamut Art Gallery.

 KENILWORTH PUBLIC LIBRARY ADULT PROGRAMS

Join us on Tuesdays, November 7 and 21 at 2-4pm and Monday, November 13  at 6:00pm – 7:45pm for our card making group  “Paper Pals.”  You don’t need any paper crafting experience to join the fun. 

“Yarnies”:  Join us on Thursdays, November 2, 9 & 16 at 2-4pm and on Thursday, November 30 at 6:00pm – 7:45pm.  You don’t need any crafting experience to enjoy these creative explorations.  Feel free to bring a project to work on.  Watch demonstrations of knitting, crocheting and weaving.  

“Spin – A – Yarn”: Join us on Tuesday, November 28 at 5:00pm – 7:45pm. Bring your spinning wheel or drop spindle and create beautiful yarns!  If you don’t have a wheel, you are still welcome to join us to learn about spinning.

All of these programs are free for adults.
