(above, l-r) Maryellen Duggan of Kenilworth Public Schools and Commander Robert E. Jeans, Sr. of VFW Post #2330. Ms. Duggan is presenting Commander Jeans with a check to the VFW. She held a Jeans for Troops fundraiser within the school district and is donating the money to VFW Post #2230. The money will be used for Veterans at Lyons Hospital. Members of the Post visit the veterans monthly and bring them snacks and incidentals. It will also help fund the dinners that VFW Post #2230 hosts for some of the veterans from Lyons Hospital who are bused to the hall a few times a year for a dinner outing. VFW Post #2230 is grateful to Ms. Duggan for raising these funds and the Veterans it is used for are very appreciative.
