Justin Penik, son of Christine Schmitt, Grandson of Charles and Patricia Schmitt, and nephew of Charles and Kim Schmitt, all lifelong Rahway residents, was one of 190 students who received their diplomas, as part of the St. Peter’s Prep, Jersey City, NJ Class of 2016. This 138th Annual Commencement took place at St. Peter’s University, Yanitelli Life Center on Saturday June 4, 2016.
Justin received two prestigious awards. An Academic gold medal in Religion and the Jerome Pederson’92 Award. This is awarded to the St. Peter’s Prep graduate for modeling the values that former Prep student Jerome Pederson lived so well: good humor, faith and selfless service to the Prep community. Justin will be attending St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, PA this fall, majoring in Criminal Justice and Sociology. We congratulate Justin for his amazing accomplishments.
