Join the fun at The Downtown Madison Concert Series

Looking for live music this summer? The Museum of Early Trades & Crafts (METC) presents The Downtown Concert Series all summer long: six free family-friendly concerts on Friday evenings from 6 – 8 p.m. The concerts are held on the lawn of the Museum, located at 9 Main St. in Madison, where picnicking is encouraged!

On August 10, 2018 Mama D & the Vexations will be performing. This high-energy cover band with a soulful edge is based in Morristown, NJ. Their rendition of hits from the 60s through today keep the crowd moving all night long, and always chanting “One More Song!”

On August 24, 2018 Jumping the Gun will be sharing classic rock from the Rolling Stones, Petty, Springsteen and Beatles to Carrie Underwood, Grace Potter and Amy Winehouse. JTG Band has been together over 10 years playing outdoor festivals, local bars and fundraisers.

The series will close out the summer on September 7, 2018 with Rosewood.

Guests are encouraged to tour METC’s current exhibit, Are We There Yet? Stories of Travel by Stagecoach and Steam, which examines personal accounts of the rigors of travel in 19th century New Jersey. Bring the family and plan to spend time Friday evening in downtown Madison exploring the town’s many unique shops and restaurants. The Downtown Concert Series is sponsored by the Downtown Development Commission.
