Join The Fun at The 21st Annual Kid’s Holiday Party!

The Long Hill Community Center is planning the 21st celebration of its Annual Kid’s Holiday Party, and invite all Long Hill Township children to come join the fun at the Long Hill Township Community Center, located at 1229 Valley Road (across from Jaeger Lumber) held on Sunday, December 13th at 1:00 – 3:00 PM. This event is free to all Township children and their families.
Again this year, the Community Center will be sponsoring a Toy Drive in cooperation with the Long Hill PBA #322 and the Long Hill Township PTO. We ask all who attend to please bring a new, unwrapped toy for ages’ newborn through teen. These toys will be distributed to sick or injured children hospitalized during the Holidays and throughout the year.
The party commences outside the Community Center at 1:00 PM when Santa will arrive via a fire truck provided by the Stirling Fire Department. Central School 6th grade Gold & Blue Band, under the direction of Eileen Schanager, will entertain the crowd while waiting for Santa. Upon his arrival, Santa will move the party inside and begin the lighting of the tree, donated again this 21st year, by Great Swamp Greenhouse, Meyersville. Children can then share their wish list with Santa and receive a complimentary gift and candy cane.
Back by popular demand, the Center will provide its’ mule drawn,  enclosed, red wagon rides, and a petting zoo, from Kafka Farms, Warren. DJ Mike will provide lots of holiday music and games. Rainbow the Clown, Watchung, will delight children with her pet pig and other animals, birds and magic.
The Long Hill Girl Scouts will help assist children make a Holiday craft, decorate cookies, and offer more fun with nail polishing and face painting.
Children ages 3 – 8 can enter our coloring contest with a prize to the winner in each age group, provided by Learning Express Toy Store. All entries will be displayed at the event; all winners will be announced at the party. Flyers will be e-mailed throughout local schools. Copies of the coloring contest picture can also be obtained at the Learning Express Toy Store, located on Valley Road, Gillette, (across from the car wash), or download it from our web site at www.lhcommunitycenter.org.
Door prizes donated from area merchants will be drawn throughout the party. Holiday treats and hot chocolate will be served , donated by Stirling Hotel, Burger King, Shop Rite, Dunkin Donuts & Community Center. There will also be fresh popcorn being popped during the party,  compliments of the Center.
