Joanna Budries of the Fanwood Recreation Commission was named Fanwood’s Volunteer of the Month. Joanna has been a volunteer commissioner since 2012 and has been involved in the planning of all of the Recreation Department’s signature events including the Easter Egg Hunt, movie night in the park, and the annual 5K race. Her interest in tennis made her especially valuable in the recent rehabilitation of the LaGrande Park tennis courts.
(above) Joanna Budries of the Fanwood Recreation Commission was awarded Fanwood’s Volunteer of the Month by Mayor Colleen Mahr and Councilman Anthony Carter. Joanna was presented with a print of the historic Fanwood train station as a token of appreciation of her volunteer efforts.
