Knitting Club, Mondays and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. No registration required; Learn how to knit or show others how it’s done while enjoying fun conversation. Needles and yarn provided to newcomers.

Kid’s Chess, Mondays, at 3:00 p.m. No registration required.  Limit 12; Informal chess game for children of all ages. This is a non-instructional program. Six boards provided.

Monday Afternoon Book Club, at 1 p.m. on January 28, No registration required. Discussing, The Tuscan Child by Rhys Bowen.

Explore It, Tuesdays at 3:00 p.m. starting January 22, in the Lincoln School Art room. This is after school STEM fun for kids 3rd grade and older: Registration required Limit 16.

Adult CraftTuesday, January 15 at 6:00 p.m., Let those creative juices flow. Make a craft to bring home and impress your friends and family. Limit 10. Registration required

Toddler Story Time, Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. starting January 9. No registration required. For children birth to age 4; Stories, songs, bubbles and more. The Pipsqueak Players will visit Storytime on January 16.

Therapy Horse Wednesday, January 9, at 3:00 p.m., Maureen Coultas. from Hope’s Promise (a therapeutic horse farm) will tell the story of Chief and how he became a therapeutic riding horse. She will also explain how riding and working with horses can help individuals on many levels – physically, emotionally, etc.  She will be accompanied by a miniature therapy horse for children to meet and photograph. Library Board Meeting: The meeting of the Library Board of Trustees is open to the public. January’s meeting will take place on Wednesday, January 9 at 8:00 p.m.

Kid’s Craft, Wednesday, January 16, at 3:00 p.m. make a fun craft. Registration required. For children 2nd grade and up, Limit 20

The Joys of Backyard Bird Feeding – Wednesday January 23 at 7 p.m., join a representative from Wild Birds Unlimited in Scotch Plains, as he explains how to use bird feeders, food, water and shelter to attract native birds. He will also cover how to discourage nuisance animals and how to make your property bird friendly.

Aging Services Kiosk (ASK) – Thursday, January 17, from 10 a.m. till noon, Union County Division of Aging Staff will be on hand to assist seniors (age 60+) or their caregivers with information on services, such as meal delivery, respite care, adult day care and support services for caregivers.

LegoThursday, January 10 and 24 at 3:00 p.m.; be inspired by this month’s theme and build whatever comes to mind. Then share your creation with others. Some will be displayed in our showcase. Registration required. For children age 4 through 12, Limit 15;
