Friends of the Warren Twp. Library Present Teen Award

Submitted by Iris D. Alston

The Friends of the Warren Twp Library presented Jamie Linton, a Watchung Hills Regional High School senior and library volunteer, with this year’s Teen Award on June 10, 2019.

Jamie has been volunteering at the library since middle school and enjoys working with young children. She also enjoys being creative and constructed a puppet theater. Jamie performs one person hand operated puppet performances in the library’s children’s workshop.

The Teen Award is given each year by the Friends of the Warren Twp. Library to a high school senior and volunteer who demonstrates exceptional leadership, community service, creativity and innovation skills at the library. This year’s award included a $500 scholarship and a Friends celebration reception.

Jamie is headed off to Drew University in the fall and will continue her work with children. We wish her all the best.
