Hughes School Hosts Music Assembly

Students at Thomas P. Hughes School recently enjoyed an assembly in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. The assembly, ‘A Journey Through Latin Percussion,’ featured musicians who used only percussion instruments to create various sounds and rhythms originating from different Hispanic cultures. The students and staff also tried some salsa dancing and Mr. Derman, the Instrumental Music Teacher at Hughes, joined the performers for some of the drumming!
