Jay Hersey Awarded the SAR Patriot Medal

The New Jersey Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) met in Princeton for their Lexington-Concord Luncheon on April 15, 203. Westfield resident Julien (Jay) Hersey was awarded the SAR’s highest award, the Patriot Medal. Jay is the President of the West Fields Chapter of the NJSSAR, the incoming NJSSAR Color Guard Commander, and state Librarian. We also presented the State JROTC Outstanding Cadet Medallion and a $1,000 Scholarship check to Cadet Cole Hamilton from Lenape High School. 

The Sons of the American Revolution is a genealogical society for males who can prove descent from a patriot of the American Revolution.
