Clark, NJ – The students of Frank K. Hehnly School came out in large numbers to celebrate Earth Day by choosing to walk to school, instead of riding in a car.  Students and teachers met at various locations in the Hehnly School neighborhood and walked to school to show their concern for the Earth.

“Each year, the number of students that participate in our Earth Day walk grows and grows,” explained Mrs. Begin, Hehnly School Principal.  “It is vital to begin teaching children at an early age about the importance of protecting the Earth and that it is a job that we all need to do together.”

In addition to the walk, Hehnly School held a variety of classroom events and activities throughout the day to honor this special day.
