GWACC Moves Headquarters

The Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce (GWACC) moved its headquarters from the third floor of the Bank of America building on Elm Street to 212 Lenox Avenue, a space previously occupied by the Bittersweet Store. Gene Jannotti, GWACC Executive Director stated, “We are very pleased that after almost seventy years in Westfield that we have found an ideal street front location for the Chamber.”
The Chamber was originally formed at the Rialto Theater on April 27, 1948, and so it will be celebrating its 70th Anniversary in 2018. The storefront location will give greater access to the Chamber members, allowing for a quasi-retail operation, affording visitors and new arrivals in town to obtain information about the local store and services of the five towns served by the Chamber: Fanwood, Garwood, Mountainside, Scotch Plains and Westfield. GWACC Gift Coins can now also be purchased at the new office.
