No snow this year, but that did not stop Ms. Carpenter’s First Grade class from making snowmen and watching them “melt.” They created snowmen from baking soda and poured vinegar on them, students watched in awe as the two chemicals reacted. The class was excited when they saw the bubbles and heard the fizzing sounds. Ms. Carpenter is a first-grade teacher at Grover Cleveland School and was inspired after attending Rahway Public Schools Family STEAM Night held recently at the 7th & 8th Grade Academy.
