Green Summit Seeks Hard to Recycle Items for Collection Drive

Wands and used Gift Cards Sought

The Volunteer organization Green Summit, “hard-to-recycle-items” collection drive is going on now through January 2020.

The group will be collecting clean and dry mascara wands to be reused by North Carolina nonprofit Appalachian Wildlife Refuge. The wands are usedto help remove fly eggs and larva from the fur of animals.

Green Summit is also collecting used gift cards and rigid type plastic cards to be recycled by an Ohio based company, creating 100% recycled plastic cards used by retail stores and hotels.

Drop off donations are accepted between 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Reeves-Reed Arboretum, 165 Hobart Avenue, Summit.  Collection bins can be found in the foyer of Wisner House (main building) of the arboretum.

If you have any questions, or you would like to make a larger donation, reach out via.GreenSummitNJ.org.
