Green Brook Cub Scout Pack 129’s Annual Pinewood Derby

Submitted by Aimee DeRogatis

The Green Brook Cub Scout Pack 129 hosted their annual Pinewood Derby on February 3, 2018. The derby is an event in which each Cub Scout, along with their parents, design and build a wood car that is raced on a track against the other scouts. For the second year in a row, the Pinewood Derby included the Girl Scouts of Green Brook as well.
More than 50 families participated in the event and celebrated the creativity and ingenuity of both boys and girls from kindergarten to fifth grade. While there were prizes awarded for fastest car, best design, and a few other categories, every Scout was a winner in this fun filled day.
The Green Brook Cub Scouts always welcome new students to their organization. For additional information, contact info@greenbrookpack129.com.
