The Linden High School Marching Band, Cheerleaders, and the NJROTC all participated in the grand opening of WAWA on W. Edgar Road in Linden on November 2, 2023. The students were engaged in hands-on learning opportunities which included discussions with business leaders and were able to foster relationships with local community members that will help them become active citizens.

Superintendent Atiya Perkins stated “What an amazing performance from our students. This is a testament to the expert guidance and instruction that our administrators Director of Athletics Mr. Firestone, and Supervisor of Fine and Performing Arts Mr. Lorenzetti, NJROTC Naval instructors, Fine and Performing arts teachers provide, and the Cheer coaches’ talent, hard work, and passion for our young adults here at Linden High School.”

Superintendent Atiya Perkins embraces opportunities to strengthen the school district’s partnerships with businesses like WAWA to get more involved in Linden Public Schools and make a real impact in the lives of students through innovation and collaboration.
