Girl Scout Mindfulness Garden Was the Labor of Many

Girl Scout Garden at Clark Recreation

Township of Clark

Clark Brownie Troop 40457 recently installed a Girl Scout Garden on Clark Recreation Grounds near the bocce courts. The garden was the labor of many. Troop leaders, Kim Albarella and Cara Sullivan Kropp said all twelve of the troop members, along with parents and family and a donation of time and labor from landscaper, Marc Hayden brought this mindfulness garden to life.

According to leaders, the garden was designed by and fundraised for by the scouts and embraced by Recreation Director Ralph Bernardo. He was open to helping the girls find a spot to house the garden for any troop that wants a quiet outdoor space to meet or perform a bridging-over ceremony.

“I am all for these types of scout projects,” said Bernardo. “The work of these girls and their families benefits many and provides another resource at the Recreation Center for all the scouts in town.”

Troop leaders said they were proud to have a small piece of the legacy of what it means to be part of the Clark Township Community and to have instilled in their scouts that investing in the local community, benefits all.

Troop 40457 members include Avery Albarella, Kylie Kropp, Roseanna Cutrona, Alyssa Perdiz, Briana Tobin-Montanez, Anniston Triola, Sofia Carbonara, Autumn McHugh, Juliana Henriques, Jaida Jacobs, Brooklyn Conoshenti and Elena Cuoto.
