6th Grade Students Learn the Mummification Process
Ms. Drummond’s Social Studies 6th Grade classes learned about the Ancient Egypt mummification process by mummifying an apple in salt and baking soda. The apple represented a human body. After a few weeks, the students were able to compare and contrast a mummified and a non mummified apple and were able to understand how the Egyptians preserved the bodies.
