Garwood Public Library November 2023

The Library will close at 4:30 p.m. on November 22 and will be closed on November 23 and 24 for Thanksgiving.

November 6, 13. 20, 27 at 10:30 am – Knitting Club – Join our Knitting Club. Open to all levels. Whether you’re a beginner or you want to share your vast knowledge of knitting. Spend an hour being creative and socializing. No Registration required. Yarn and needles provided to newcomers.

November 7 all day Election Day – The Garwood Public Library is a polling location. The Library will be open, the children’s section will be closed. Our computers and seating are not available. Browsing and check out are permitted.

November 8 from 10 am to Noon – Ask Kiosk-Aging Services Kiosk  – Union County Division of Aging Staff will be on hand to assist seniors (age 60+) or their caregivers with information on services, such as meal delivery, respite care, adult day care and support services for caregivers.

November 8 and 29 at 3 pm  LEGO CLUB – Be inspired by this month’s theme or build whatever comes to mind. Some will be displayed in our showcase.   Registration required Limit 12

 November 14, 21, and 28  at 10  am and 11 am   Storytime – Join Miss Maryanne for stories, bubbles and more. Registration required

November 14  at 3 p.m.-  Virtual Kid’s Craft – Pick up your craft supplies from the Library and then watch the Facebook tutorial at 3 pm. Registration is required for craft kits and is limited to 15 participants. Sign up on the Library website’s events calendar or by phone.

November 14 at 3 p.m. Virtual Adult Craft – Pick up your craft supplies from the Library and then watch the Facebook tutorial at 3 pm. Registration is required for craft kits and is limited to 10 participants. Sign up on the Library website’s events calendar or by phone.

November 16 at 7p.m.. Chopped at Home – Join us at the Library for our 2nd Chopped at Home competition! To participate register on our website calendar or by phone. Then pick up a mystery ingredient on November 14 or 15th, Make a delicious dessert with it, and bring it to the Library on November 16 at 7 p.m. for our tasting event! There will be a prize for the judge’s pick and the crowd-favorite. Registration required. Adults only.

November 20,  at  1:00 pm  Book Discussion Group Join us in the library for a lively discussion of this month’s book,  “The Only Woman in the Room” by Marie Benedict.. 

November 23 and 24  – Closed – The Library will be closed for Thanksgiving.
