Invention Makers

April 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29 at 3:30 p.m. 

Your child will invent and build boredom-busting toys and games including a fleet of paper airplanes, a bubble machine, mazes, musical instruments, and more. The program will run every Thursday in April at 3:30 via Zoom.. For kids in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Limit 8. Registration required. Once registered a Zoom link will be provided..

Amnesty Week

April 5-10

In honor of National Library Week, fines on all items returned this week will be waived. Please bring back your long-overdue or “lost” books. There will be no fines and no questions asked.

Staying Positive in Times of Stress

April 6 at 7 p.m.

Back by popular demand, is Therapist, Author, and Educator, Diane Lang. This time she will discuss ways to manage difficult situations. You will learn how to develop tools to cultivate happiness and mindfulness so you can feel more hopeful and positive in times of stress. Registration required. Once registered a Zoom link will be provided.

Library Board Meeting

April 7 at 7:30 p.m. 

A meeting of the Garwood Library Board of Trustees will take place in the Library. This meeting is open to the public. Masks and social distancing are required.

Virtual Kid’s Craft

April 13, at 3 p.m. 

Pick up craft supplies from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the 13 and follow the Facebook tutorial at 3 p.m. Registration is required, and is limited to 15 participants. Sign up on the Library website’s events calendar or by phone. 

Book Discussion Group via Zoom

April 19 at 1 p.m. 

Join us for a lively discussion of this month’s book. Check with the Library for their latest book selection. Once registered for the club, a Zoom link will be sent via email.

Virtual Adult Craft

April 20 at 3 p.m.

Pick up your craft supplies from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and watch the Facebook tutorial at 3 p.m. Registration is required for craft kits and is limited to 10 participants. Sign up on the Library website’s events calendar or by phone.

Library Hours

The Garwood Library is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Tuesday, Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Five people are permitted in the library at a time for thirty minutes, no appointments necessary. Thirty-minute computer use is permitted. Staff is available to copy and fax for the public. Curbside service is also available.
