The Garwood Police Department is proud to announce the promotion of Sergeant Dave Perrotta to the rank of Lieutenant.
Lt Perrotta grew up in Garwood and was sworn in as a Patrolman in December of 2006. Prior to that, Lt Perrotta spent a year as a police officer with the Warren Township Police Department. Lt Perrotta has spent his career as a patrol officer and reached the rank of Sergeant in November 2013 and stresses the importance of community relations to the people that work with and under him.
Lt. Perrotta is a third generation law enforcement officer, succeeding his Father, Gene Perrotta (Ret) from Union PD, his Uncle, Garwood Chief William Legg (Ret) and Grandfather, Retired Garwood Lieutenant Donald Legg.
