Garwood Library Digital Offerings

The Garwood Public Library has added new databases to its website. If you like to travel you may enjoy, Global Road Warrior and A to Z World Travel. Global Road Warrior is a travel guide that covers 175 countries. It includes country facts, climate, society and business culture, demographics, money and banking, travel essentials, security briefing, medical, transportation, communications, embassies and consulates. A to Z World Travel is a guide to over 200 cities around the world. It provides comprehensive travel resource with information about points of interest with links to city attractions, security, transportation, food and recipes, culture, language, and more. Both are mobile friendly, automatically adapting to the screen size of any desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
The Garwood Library is also pleased to offer two new Social Studies resources for Garwood students. The first is PebbleGo a database geared toward the needs of K-2 learners. It helps students learn foundational research skills and provides critical early-reader supports like audio voice overs and text highlighting. The second is PebbleGoNext a comprehensive digital resource tailored to meet the needs and curriculum of grades 3-5 learners. Both PebbleGo and PebbleGoNext can be accessed 24/7 from home, school or on the go; anywhere there is an internet connection. Both offer straightforward navigation on an ad-free website.
