Garwood Green Team Wants Your Plastic Bags!

The Garwood Green Team is participating in the TREX recycling challenge. If we collect 500 lbs of plastic bags by January, Garwood will receive a brand new park bench!

Please drop off your clean, dry plastic grocery bags in the marked bins at Borough Hall, the Garwood Library, Lincoln School and Garwood King’s Supermarket. Check out the flyer on Garwood.org for more information.

About the TREX Recycling Challenge

Every year hundreds of schools across the nation compete against each other to recycle the most plastic film. In addition to providing a better understanding and appreciation for the importance of recycling, Trex will happily donate a high-performance composite bench to the winning school, and bestow honorary awards to every school that participates.

When you donate your unwanted plastic materials to Trex, not only are you helping to keep thousands of pounds of waste out of landfills, you’re also helping us to continue to create beautiful and environmentally responsible outdoor products. And, as an additional incentive, communities and schools that enroll in our recycling programs are eligible for high-performance, low-maintenance awards and prizes
