Virtual Cookie Booths Help Garwood Daisy’s Give Back to Community

Garwood Daisy’s Virtual Cookie Booths

Girl Scout Troop 41008 loves giving back to their community throughout the year and helping those in need. During 2020, our Troop was able to donate cookies to Frontline workers; donate masks, hand sanitizer, and gloves to nurses at RWJ Rahway; donate over 18 Christmas boxes to Samaritan’s Purse; and provide a variety of snacks to the Salvation Army in South Plainfield. In Garwood, the scouts planted flowers around town, helped to decorate town hall for the Fall, and donated a bench to Hartman Park.

The girls were able to do this with money raised from selling cookies, especially from cookie booth sales. With covid, we are unable to have in-person cookie booths this year. However, our troop will be hosting virtual cookie booths. When the weather breaks, we hope to have a small socially distanced cookie booth at Unami Park, details will be shared later.

Traditional cookie flavors — Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-si-dos, Trefoils, Lemon-Ups and S’mores — would be sold for $5 per package, and the Toffee-tastic specialty flavor would be sold for $6 per package. Please help support our Troop and order cookies, by contacting the Troop Leader at girlscouttroopleader41108@gmail.com
