Fanwood-Scotch Plains Thrift Shop Remains Open For The Summer

The Fanwood-Scotch Plains Thrift Shop, 1741, E. 2nd St., Scotch Plains, will remain open during the summer months. Store hours will remain unchanged; Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We advise shoppers to make purchases no later than 15 minutes before closing.

The shop is fully stocked with late spring and summer items. School will be out and children will be readied for camp and play. Kids can be hard on summer clothes. The Thrift Shop offers new and gently used clothing at great savings. Men and women will find an excellent assortment of casual wear for work and relaxation. The shop carries bathing suits. A full figured women’s section is available.

For a more casual lifestyle, housewares, and linens are available for summer. Don’t forget Father’s Day, graduations and weddings. For special gifts, check out the Collectors’ Corner, jewelry, and home decor areas. Pick up a book and start summer reading. A shop volunteer is always available to help.

The Fanwood-Scotch Plains Service League is an all-volunteer, non- profit organization that has served the local communities since 1974. Since its founding, the League has donated more than $1.3 million for local causes. Anyone interested in learning more about the League or membership is invited to call 908-322-5420, visit the League’s website at scotchplainsthriftshop.weebly.com or speak to any of the volunteers at the Thrift Shop. Checkout the organization’s Facebook page, “Fanwood-Scotch Plains Service League,” and give the League a “Like.”

New and gently used, preferably in season items, can be donated during business hours at the rear of the store. Please respect the shoppers and volunteers. Do not leave damaged and items in poor condition. We should not be expected to dispose of unsaleable items. Parking is available on the street and in the rear of the building. Visitors may enter the parking lot via Willow Avenue.
