Friends of Linden Animal Shelter’s 4th Annual Tricky Tray Fundraiser

By Maryanne Christiano-Mistretta

The Friends of Linden Animal Shelter (FOLAS) recently had their 4th Annual Tricky Tray Fundraiser at the JTG Center, Linden, New Jersey. Over 250 people were in attendance. Over 60 local and national businesses provided generous prize donations to make the event a success. The event was catered by Jersey Mike’s Subs of Union. DJ Ed hosted the event and played animal themed songs like, “What’s New Pussycat?” by Tom Jones; “Stray Cat Strut,” by The Stray Cats; and “Karma Chameleon,” by The Culture Club. Then he got people dancing to “Walking on Sunshine” by Katrina and The Waves.
FOLAS will have a table at the Woodbridge Street Fair, Woodbridge, New Jersey on May 19; and at the Metuchen Street Fair on May 20.
FOLAS is a no-kill, all volunteer, non-profit dog and cat animal rescue group formed in 2000. They are located at 1811 Lower Road, Linden.
