Friends of Colin Easter Egg Hunt April 13

The Friends of Colin is hosting its 9th annual Easter Egg hunt on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Hanson Park. Check in is 10:30 a.m. and the hunt starts at 11 a.m. sharp.

Registration in advance is $8 and registration after April 9th is $10 per child participating. You can also register in person on event day, starting at 10 a.m. To buy tickets in advance, to go eventbrite.com and search for Friends of Colin.

All proceeds benefit Ewings Sarcoma research being done at Georgetown University Hospital. Ewings Sarcoma, a rare bone cancer, took the life of Cranford High School teen Colin Maher, who was part of a close-knit neighborhood on Retford Ave. His friends there started a nonprofit to fund researchers looking for a cure to this cancer. Although considered rare, Ewings also claimed young Cranford resident Alessandra LoConte and nearby Clark resident Tylor Collins over the last few years.

Friends of Colin is a 501c3 that also runs the Turkey Trot in November at Unami Park. For more information, e-mail info@friendsofcolin.org.
