Recently, Franklin Elementary School in Rahway came together to show some love and appreciation to our veterans. Members of the school’s Blue and Gold Club put together goody bags. The goody bags were filled with candy and a heartfelt letter. They will be brought to the veterans at the park in Rahway for Veterans Day and also sent to a unit that is stationed overseas. The children hope that the letters and goody bags will put a smile on the veterans faces.
Franklin School’s Blue and Gold Club is a school based club made up of students that volunteer their time throughout the year to help with different community service activities. The club is overseen by the school’s nurse, Mrs. Barbara Maher and Ms. Kym Adams. They do a great job and we’re proud of these young men and women. Keep up the great work kids!
